A INTER-RELAÇÃO ENTRE A MÁ OCLUSÃO E A POSTURA VOCAL
Resumo
A má oclusão refere-se ao desalinhamento anormal dos dentes ou à má relação entre os arcos dentários, afetando a forma como os dentes superiores e inferiores se encaixam, resultando em alterações estruturais e funcionais. A oclusão é um fator importante de modificação da postura vocal, que pode além de alterar a comunicação humana, também, a expressão de emoções e a identidade pessoal do individuo. Neste estudo de revisão de literatura, analisamos o perfil da má oclusão e seus fatores associados a postura vocal. Conduzimos uma pesquisa bibliográfica nas bases de dados, Scielo e Google Acadêmico. Incluímos apenas artigos científicos completos em português, publicados entre 1993 e 2021. Encontramos um total de 23 artigos. Após a triagem dos títulos e resumos, excluímos 6 artigos por não se enquadrarem no tema e eliminamos. Finalmente, elegemos 17 artigos para leitura completa e, com base nos critérios estabelecidos, incluímos 15 na amostra. Concluímos que a colaboração entre odontologia e fonoaudiologia é crucial para a restauração estética e funcional em casos de má oclusão, além de uma melhor adequação na postura vocal, tanto para profissionais do canto como para a dicção de oradores.
Abstract
Malocclusion refers to the abnormal misalignment of teeth or the poor relationship between the dental arches, affecting the way the upper and lower teeth fit together, resulting in structural and functional changes. Occlusion is an important factor in modifying vocal posture, which can not only alter human communication, but also the expression of emotions and the individual's personal identity. In this literature review study, we analyzed the profile of malocclusion and its factors associated with vocal posture. We used the integrative review method, and conducted a bibliographical search in the Scielo and Google Scholar databases. We only included complete scientific articles in Portuguese, published between 2006 and 2021. We found a total of 23 articles. After screening the titles and abstracts, we excluded 10 articles as they did not fit the topic and eliminated them. Finally, we chose 13 articles for full reading and, based on the established criteria, we included the 10 in the sample. We conclude that collaboration between dentistry and speech therapy is crucial for aesthetic and functional restoration in cases of malocclusion, as well as better adaptation of vocal posture, both for singing professionals and for diction speakers.
